Have you taken your daily dose of salmon today?
Salmon is a species of fish which is found in both fresh waters, and seas, depending on the stage of its development.
Salmon have a peculiar life cycle. They lay their eggs near the mouth of rivers, where the eggs hatch, develop into fries and start their journey toward the sea. They grow into adult salmon in the sea, then go back to the rivers to reproduce (close your eyes, kids!), where most of them die after laying their eggs. What a fish!
Salmon is a very good source of easily digestible proteins such as amino acids, and fatty acids like Omega-3 in the form of triglyceride, as well as vitamins like vitamin-D, vitamin-A and some members of the vitamin-B family. It also contains minerals like selenium, zinc, phosphorus, calcium and iron. Wow! That sounds BENEFICIAL!
If you don't already, you should consider eating salmon more often, as it has proved to be one of the HEALTHIEST fishes in the seven seas (and rivers).
One time I got a huge slab of salmon for really cheap at a restaurant in japan and it was really nice but the cook tried to hurry me out of his establishment when it got a little busier and it kind of ruined a good meal for me.
I like most fish in general but I don't really like all the other kinds of seafood. I'll usually order a fish dish if I'm at a restaurant I've never been to before.
Salmon is usually the only fish I buy when I'm in the mood for fish.
I love just about all seafood but salmon is probably my favorite fish. It's good no matter how you prepare it
Salmon is pink. I don't like pink food.
