Does /nen/ play tabletop games?
I found out about this cute 2hu game but you need 4 people to play it and we can't even get more than 3 people for 100% OJ… http://danmaku.party/bonus/play/

Please post in this thread if you play or want to play tabletop games with frens!
Online card games like Shadowverse are also welcome!

why is the game 100% orange juice so popular lately? i thought it was released recently but when i looked it's 2013

i play arkham horror by myself

I'm not sure if it's gotten more popular recently but maybe the videos that that Japanese virtual youtuber made about it helped!

Is it fun?

And that's just when it got on steam. The original release was 2009! But yes it's still popular. It helps the developers still update it regularly.

As for OP, I don't play many table top games since I don't have anyone to play them with in real life. I might pick up tabletop sim if it goes on sale again though.

I'll play with you.

How does it play?

The rules are here: http://danmaku.party/rules/howtoplay/

I've never played it myself before and I'm not sure if there's a way to play it outside of Table Top Simulator…

its okay i think it would be more fun with friends

Just finished reading the rulebook for the 2hu game which can be found here: http://danmaku.party/download/manual_v1.1.pdf

It sounds very fun!
Basically every player gets a secret role with a goal they have to fulfill and only the heroine's role is revealed at the start! There are different goals, like the stage bosses for example only have to defeat the heroine to win while the EX boss has to first defeat the stage bosses and then the heroine (because if he'd beat the heroine first only the stages bosses would win)! There's also other roles like the partners who have to protect the heroine and help her defeat the bosses and EX boss but all these roles are secret so you can only guess who's on your side and who isn't!
Aside from your role each player also gets to play as a 2hu character who all have different abilities and spell cards!
There are also incidents going on constantly that affect the game until they are resolved and tons of cards and way to fight each other or help each other out!
The game sounds fun with 4 players but it gets more fun the more players you have since some roles only show up if there are 5, 7 or even 8 players!

The download link for the Table Top Sim version is here: http://danmaku.mysteryparfait.com/download/danmakutts1.0.zip
I looked at it and it seems to have everything you need to play, all the cards are there and there are even some dice to help you keep track of the life totals of each player!

I hope some /nen/frens decide to give the game a try…

I could play with you if it's a two player game!
Maybe we could play with some /nen/frens if they're interested!

This sounds really fun but I don't have tabletop simulator ;_;

This sounds like fun, I'd love to try.

Do you have a PC that can run it?

Yes but if you're going to suggest piracy or something I probably won't. I mean it's not like I'm completely broke. I might just buy it if it becomes confirmed that everyone's willing to play this together

I could pick it up too. Not like there's anything else interesting coming out soon.

The fren who told me about the 2hu game already owns TTS so that's two players already!

So if we count

We'd be 5 players already! One of the 100% OJ players also own TTS so we could even get up to 6 or even more if more people decide to give the game a try!

It would probably be difficult to schedule a time and date where everyone has time to play but I'm sure we can do it!

I was going to offer buying a copy for you.

File: 1507756605070.jpg (208.89 KB, 1200x675, st1.JPG) [ IQDB | SauceNAO ]

Where do I get table top simulator?

I wouldn't accept a gift like that when I'm able to buy it myself. But that's still nice of you. I feel like a bit of an asshole now for not noticing your kind intentions, sorry about that.

There are lots of options to choose from!
The easiest way would probably be steam since you need that to play the game anyway as far as I know!

File: 1507757759359.jpg (265.56 KB, 1920x1080, 20171011233436_1.jpg) [ IQDB | SauceNAO ]

I made a little cheat sheet for the rules!

File: 1507758233443.jpg (74.58 KB, 346x645, 1427125150378.jpg) [ IQDB | SauceNAO ]

But "steam-bros" permanently ruined steam for me…

Oh no…
All the /nen/frens I've played with on steam so far have been nice and frenly though, I don't think there's anything to be scared of!
Creating an account is free too I think and you don't have to use if for anything aside from playing TTS if you don't want to!
I don't like how many games are bound to steam nowadays but it can't be helped…

I feel the same.

That's alright, was just looking out for nenfrens if they couldn't afford it.

Should we share steam accounts here?

Those are just the badposting meanies though, I have faith in nen!

I think it would be best to just decide on a date when everyone has time to play and then just make a private /nen/room where people can join the game!

Ahh okay, well maybe timezones might help us coordinate then; I'm PST.

I'm not good with timezones, I think I'm CET?
I'd have time to play from around 1am PDT to maybe 4pm which should be in half an hour or so, but only on weekends!

I'm BST, but I should be able to play at pretty much any time that isn't super late at night or super early morning.

you're BeST!

I just realized that Cirno not being able to attack players right next to her is probably a reference to her spell card in EoSD…

File: 1507830990052.png (112.67 KB, 350x350, smart.png) [ IQDB | SauceNAO ]

Whoa! Nice attention to detail!

I am EST. Depending on what time you guys are scheduling, I might be able to play this weekend.

can't promise anything though

I was actually thinking about playing next week so /nen/frens have a little more time to prepare but we can play this weekend too if you want!
Would Saturday 10am PDT work for everyone?

That would be fine for me

I could play at that time in the future.

I'll try hosting a server later at 10am PDT and see how many people join, the name will be /nen/ and the password is "frens"!

Whoops forgot to make a room (´ω`)

Oh shit I didn't realise we were actually doing it today, I haven't even bought the game yet.

That's okay I wanted to do it next week as well, a fren just suggested that we play today but it seems like most frens are busy anyway!
Would be better to wait another week I think to give people more time to prepare!

File: 1508410161773.jpg (90.76 KB, 659x605, 1347794171279.jpg) [ IQDB | SauceNAO ]

I can't wait!

Don't forget we're playing at 10am PDT tomorrow (Saturday)!
Make sure you have a copy of Tabletop Simulator and read the rulebook over here: http://danmaku.party/download/manual_v1.1.pdf
Hopefully it'll be lots of fun!

The only thing I'm confused about with this game is how can you make the first move? If you don't know what anyone else's role is how can you pick someone to attack? If you pick randomly you could end up attacking an ally, and also if everyone is just picking randomly then you can't try to deduce what role they have based on who they attack, since who they attack isn't influenced by what role they have.

Maybe I'm missing something though

Nevermind, I forgot that the heroines role is revealed at the beginning

File: 1508544388761.png (14.31 KB, 400x400, 1361767846006.png) [ IQDB | SauceNAO ]

The heroine always goes first and she's basically fighting everyone else aside from her partners, so it's not too difficult for her to just attack someone at random.
Usually you look at what character everyone has picked and try to figure out what their role might be from that! Someone who picked Eirin is almost guaranteed to be a partner while someone who's playing as Okuu is probably just a stage boss who's trying to kill the heroine as quickly as possible! Of course that's not 100% reliable since maybe someone drew two character cards that didn't really fit their role but you could of course also just ask someone if they're on your side before attacking but there's obviously nothing stopping them from lying…
Aside from characters it's relatively easy to figure out who to attack on your first turn, if you're a stage boss just attack the heroine and if you're the ex boss just attack anyone who attacks the heroine before they kill her and so on! Basically you can just signal who side you're on by either attacking the heroine or attacking another random player and the game should just naturally progress from there.
Obviously it's a little more difficult if you have a role like the challenger or final boss but in their case you usually just attack the players that aren't attacking the heroine since those are usually either partners or the ex boss!

Also this page might be useful too

It lists all the cards. Each has an individual page, and most have a mini-guide for interesting scenarios that might come up when using them.

>there's obviously nothing stopping them from lying
But /nen/ wouldn't lie, r-right?

I'd never lie to my frens!
But like they say all is fair in love and danmaku battles…

I'll open a room one hour from now, please make sure you're ready!

Alright I'm hosting now!
The room name is /nen/ and the password is frens!

I'll join in a few minutes

Hello from tts

Awesome! I wanted to play but I ended up sleeping in too late, I woke up 2 hours ago instead of on time I'm sorry.

That's fantastic!

It must have been a really fun time if you played this long, I'm happy for you all.

Wow, sounds like a fun time. I'm glad /nen/frens get to have fun together.

Going to play again tomorrow, same place same time!

I made a room! Same name and password as last time!

We got 4 people this time!
The game was fun even just with 4 players but hopefully we'll manage to get a few more since it's the most fun once you get up to 5 and get to play with partners!

File: 1509222386301.jpg (203.58 KB, 893x623, 1236193074124.jpg) [ IQDB | SauceNAO ]

Fun times. Second game ended pretty fast!

im waiting for the app to go on sale

Heroines have it rough in 4 player games since the only one on their side is the EX Boss and even he turns against them once all the stage bosses have been defeated…
Players should keep in mind that the game is usually over when the heroine is defeated so if you're on her side you should do what you can to keep her alive!
The game is about making teams and alliances so working together with players that share common goals is encouraged even if you plan on stabbing your partner in the back!
I think there's a whisper function on TTS too so you can send private messages to other players but outside of 4 player games it can be rather hard to tell who you can really trust…

Yeah I figured some more /nen/frens might pick the game up if TTS went on sale, hopefully there'll be a sale around Christmas or something!

>I think there's a whisper function on TTS too so you can send private messages to other players
Usually in these kinds of games, using whispers like that is discouraged or against the rules entirely. All negotiation is supposed to be done out in the open. Not sure that's true for this one.

Hardly matters for smaller 2hu games. If we somehow end up with an 8 player game, then we'll need to worry about that.

File: 1509227964578.jpg (473.2 KB, 1280x720, [HorribleSubs] Flip Flappe….jpg) [ IQDB | SauceNAO ]

most of the offline board games I've played allow negotiations but its a lot different when you see two people go off to talk in private than if they do it over private online chat

I might've actually been mistaken about the whisper function, I know there's team only chat but you can't really divide people into teams in this game since all the roles are secret…
Talking about your strategies in the open might be more fun anyway!

Playing with a new fren today! All frens welcome!

Looks like the creators of the game released the cards from the new expansion for TTS! https://imgur.com/a/YGQQK
If I figure out how to add these I'll let you know!

File: 1509838584914.png (205.12 KB, 640x640, q6J6Qif.png) [ IQDB | SauceNAO ]

I looked a little into TTS modding a few days ago. Seems like you could just use those image files directly off imgur to make those cards in game. That's how the save file on the danmaku website works.

File: 1509840010256.jpg (248.32 KB, 1600x900, 20171104185745_1.jpg) [ IQDB | SauceNAO ]

Wow yeah that's really easy to do.

File: 1509842742776.jpg (294.34 KB, 1600x900, 20171104192913_1.jpg) [ IQDB | SauceNAO ]

Well I think I've got everything set. The expansion cards might not be scaled (sized) exactly to the old ones. Not sure if there's an easy way to fix that.

Here's the save:

The new main deck cards seem to have the wrong hidden card image, showing spell assist instead of the card's back!

File: 1509857286577.png (65.55 KB, 333x400, CustomDeck02.png) [ IQDB | SauceNAO ]

Oops, forgot to check "Back is hidden" when I made that deck. Didn't notice because I was in GM mode when testing…

Hopefully this is better!

Anyway it's easy enough if someone else wants to give it a shot too. Just paste in the URLs, set the numbers right, and the game takes care of the rest!

Oh guess I should mention. That's under:

Yeah I already made my own save file with a fixed version of the deck!
The new cards seem to have a higher resolution compared to the old ones so you can kind of tell if someone has a new card in their hand if you look at the back of the card closely, I wonder if there's some way to replace the back of the old cards with the high res version…

I assume there's a way to get the source image url for a deck. Then you could just reuse those fronts and replace the backs with the better quality ones. Wouldn't be a bad idea to download them too in case they ever go offline.

Going to sleep soon so I can't do it tonight.

Don't know if you fixed it yourself already, but there's a way to do it by just editing the save file.

Here's the urls for the old card backs:

Just open up the save file in a text editor, and replace those urls with the better quality card backs. You'll also need to set "Back is hidden" to true or else it'll use that low quality back on the front templates.

File: 1509904979917.jpg (998.75 KB, 1000x1000, __lily_white_touhou_drawn_….jpg) [ IQDB | SauceNAO ]

Alright I think this save should have all the new cards with hi res backs for all cards!
I included my little cheat sheet too! I also deleted the Phantom Boss since she has been replaced with the rebalanced Phantasm Boss so you won't get killed by a searched up Liliy White anymore! Well most of the time anyway…

File: 1509905925530.jpg (262.16 KB, 1920x1080, 20171105191613_1.jpg) [ IQDB | SauceNAO ]

I thought that it would probably be a good idea to write up a cheat sheet for the expansion as well so if you're interested in that here's a save file that includes that too!

File: 1509917392899.jpg (47.64 KB, 505x500, 1465090341198.jpg) [ IQDB | SauceNAO ]

Good work! My worry with the expansion is there seems to be even more cards that attack multiple times, or deal 2-3 damage. Already seems bad enough with a certain someone being able to completely murder another player in a single turn.

That's true but the expansion adds a ton of new ways to avoid damage, gain life or help out another player! The lunatic deck especially is filled with tons of life savers! Hopefully it all balances out!

Going to play on the TTS beta today since that apparently has better networking, if that's okay with everyone!

So does that just mean I have to go into properties and select public_beta?

Yeah that's it. It should then update the game, and have a [public_beta] on it's name in your game list.

File: 1510429992831.jpg (502.16 KB, 1920x1080, 20171111202306_1.jpg) [ IQDB | SauceNAO ]

Didn't manage to play a whole lot today unfortunately…
At least we found out that the beta version is pretty unstable and causes random disconnects! We also figured out the problem behind some connectivity issues we've experienced these past week! Looks like the custom table image was the cause! Weird!
I'll try to find a cute replacement image for next weekend! Hopefully we'll finally get to play with 5 people then!

File: 1510430934411.png (28.64 KB, 4400x2600, ohayouu.png) [ IQDB | SauceNAO ]

Problem solving with nen! I still don't understand why that would be the cause.

For those people waiting for a sale, the humble bundle store has it for half off. Note that it's just a steam key, so you'll still need a steam account.

>Attention! We have run out of Steam keys for Tabletop Simulator, but more are on their way! As soon as we receive more Steam keys, we will add them to your download page. Sorry about the delay!

Wow that's rare. The humble store is one of the big game stores so I'm sure they'll sort it out soon.

File: 1511125634342.png (744.13 KB, 1280x720, [HorribleSubs] THE iDOLM@S….png) [ IQDB | SauceNAO ]

How do you run out of something digital? Idjits…
Guess I'll have to postpone making a steam account, too bad.

File: 1511127808371.png (142.16 KB, 321x252, information.png) [ IQDB | SauceNAO ]

Steam itself has infinite copies. You buy something directly off the steam store, and your account is authorized to download it.

Third party sellers don't. Having them interact directly with steam would cause many issues and risks. So other stores have to use product keys. When a developer or publisher gets a game on steam, they get access to a product key generator. It's literally just "Enter # of keys to generate," push the button, and you get a big list of keys for you game. Then you just mail that off to Humble, Fanatic, or whatever store you want to sell them on.

So someone at Berserk Games just needs to generate more TTS keys and mail them off to Humble.

Steam did implement a limit on key generation for smaller, first time developers putting things on the store. That was to prevent abuse some people were doing, but TTS is pretty popular so I doubt they were affected.

Looks like their viral marketing on /nen/ was more successful than they anticipated.

Apparently the Heart of Crown steam release is nigh.
Does anyone wanna play with me?

Do I need a decent computer to run Tabletop simulator and related games?

You don't need a super powerful PC to run the base game and simple mods like Danmaku. Should be fine with something made in the last decade, or maybe even older. The requirements say it can run on Windows XP, although I question if that's really the case.

Of course there are also mods that have lots of detailed models which might make weaker computers lag. Or if the host gets bored and spawns a thousand marbles or something…

If by related games you mean other simple card game stuff, those usually have pretty low requirements too. Things like Hearthstone or Shadowverse aren't that demanding either.

I tried it out on my blazing fast 1.65ghz dual core, 4GB RAM old laptop with a really slow hard dive and an ancient AMD mobile GPU. It took a minute to boot up, and another minute to load all the danmaku stuff. But besides that it ran at silky smooth 15 FPS.

I searched for info about that, but don't quite get how it plays. I need to find a rulebook or video of it being played.

Did you get that sorted out? I see they removed the message from the page. Another person would make it a fun thanksgiving weekend!

Probably. But it was my fall 17 "watched" anime folder that got the boot. I had write down what episode I'm on like they did in the 1800's. Dork Humble will regret this.

Didn't get 5 players together this time but we got a new player now so I'm sure it's only a matter of time!

well its a board game so I don't know if thats possible unless people want to drive to my house.

well it looks like someone has made something for the tabletop thing everyone seems to have gotten but I don't know how it would work. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=411953438

I think you just subscribe to it on steam, and then in TTS it will show under the game loading menu.

it looks like it is missing some cards that dont show up and has errors loading unfortunately.

I found one that was much better:

Though the table is a little small. Might want to save one of those fancy dice rolling towers and spawn that to roll dice.

There is also this one that has fancy scripting, but it has all the expansions mixed in so it's kind of overwhelming:

I found a rule book, and decided to play a solo round using the first mod I linked. I failed horribly and insta-lossed when the ancient one awakened because I couldn't roll enough dice to beat his combat penalty. I wouldn't mind trying a multiplayer game sometime.

Here's the rulebook I used if anyone else is interested:

Did you play as one investigator? It's really hard to win with only one player. I usually proxy 3-5 depending on if I'm playing only the base games or with expansions. You shouldn't feel too bad about losing since its pretty hard and even good players usually win around 50% of their games.

Usually I lose if I have to fight the ancient one too, and most of my wins are by closing and sealing gates. Azatoth, Nyarlathotep, and Ithaqua are some of the easier ancient ones I would recommend, I usually feel like I do pretty well against them. I don't really keep track of my win rates either.

I also recommend using this rulebook, I think it reads a little simpler than the full rulebook and only look at the rulebook when I get a weird situation or forget how an interaction works.
It has a really nice cribsheet that kind of explains all the base mechanics too

You might need to make a boardgamegeek account to download it so I reuploaded it here

Theres also an coop Arkham LLC also made by FantasyFlight that I kind of have wanted to try playing

Yeah I was using a solo investigator. Even if all the rules balancing it around a single person, it feels like it would be impossible to keep up with all the gate openings.

That rules summary looks super useful. I think I saw one of the other mods use a few pages from it.

To keep this a little /jp/ related, someone made a Gensokyo version of the game. Given the fanmade nature of it, I'd probably guess it's not as well balanced as the original game.

I bought Heart of Crown!
I never played dominion before but it's pretty fun, you basically buy a bunch of land and try to use the money it generates to get your princess on the throne by any means necessary!

File: 1513553996939.jpg (411.24 KB, 904x1000, __lily_white_hidden_star_i….jpg) [ IQDB | SauceNAO ]

We finally got 5 people together!
The game is a lot more exciting with partners and all those special stage bosses! Maybe we'll even get up to 6 players one day!
I probably won't be able to play again until January but maybe someone else can host games during that time!
New players are always welcome!

There won't be new players from here anytime in the foreseeable future. Does 4/jp/ play touhou cards?

Well I could set up a local save just in case someone picks it up during the winter sale and wants to join us. However, I figure most people will be busy since it's christmas weekend followed by new year's weekend.

I'll eventually remember that I want to spend my weekend playing games with nen, I just always forget and end up playing something else.

I'm trying out Heart of Crown right now, it has art by the Etrian Odyssey artist.

is it fun

I only played a few rounds against the CPU, mostly learning how to play the game. It's cute and was pretty fun even if I didn't really know what I was doing.

I tried a few games where I controlled 3 investigators and it's definitely more manageable. Until a horrible series of events ruins things.

I looked at the touhou mod some. It's a little silly since all the base game items, spells, and monsters are unchanged. However, it has 100+ playable characters.

File: 1513787641343.jpg (495.01 KB, 1920x1080, 20171220173026_1.jpg) [ IQDB | SauceNAO ]

The 2hu version looks like fun! I guess it's just the base game with 2hu investigators?
I never played it before but it looks a lot like a classical RPG with lots of stats and dice rolls! Maybe we could give it a try some day!

I played it too! It's pretty fun and cute although I've also only played against the ai so far!

>it looks a lot like a classical RPG with lots of stats and dice rolls!
Pretty much. Players have to go around close gates and deal with monsters before the big bad wakes up. It might seem a little overwhelming but it's not too bad once you learn it.

If people want to try and set up a game, either the base game or the 2hu version, I would join.

Wow my potato laptop can actually run Tabletop Sim…
So for anyone wondering if it will run on their system, this thing can't run Hollow Knight without having it look like a slide show and it can load up the Arkham Horror Touhou mod which has like a million cards and over 100 2hus in it. How is this even possible?
My danmaku save file also seems to work thanks to steam cloud so if someone else want to host I could make a game and promote them to admin so they can hopefully copy the save without having to make local copies of all the cards on their hard drive.
I can probably play during week days if anyone wants to but I'll spend most of the Christmas season with my family!

Well most the 2hu assets are in bags. The game doesn't load them until you pull them out or search them. Still, if you're laptop has a lot of RAM it could probably handle it.

I'll be busy with family too over the weekend and on Christmas day. After that, I can do whatever.

You can play as just her head…

one day ill be able to show up to the nen game…

Do your ganbare!

Tabletop Sim, Heart of Crown and 100% Orange Juice are all on sale right now if anyone's interested in playing those with /nen/frens!

Are Saturdays a bad day for you?

How many of you guys have heart of crown? I'm thinking of getting it.

I think 2 people have the game! We didn't have a chance to play together yet though…

Also Arkham Horror is really difficult! Maybe I'll try a 4 player game and see if that increases my odds of beating the old ones.

Oh they've also released some new DLC for 100% OJ! New bully characters!

What is it? I vaguely remember downloading it off a /jp/ comiket spreadsheet years ago but it didn't run.

It's a deck builder game like dominion but with cute girls instead!
There's a translated version on steam.

I looked at the old Arkham Touhou mod and the 2hu Old Ones are super creepy… I think I'd rather go up against Cthulhu.

>The kakashi spirit news is not very popular

It's kind of an odd mechanic too. Why not just remove cultists from the game? Unless they're supposed to show up from random encounters but not gate openings.

I think that's the point!
Some of he 2hu elder ones have you return the cultists to the box and I think one of them says "return cultists to the cup" and I'm not sure if they meant box or if you just return all cultists that you draw to the cup right away…

Cultists are a weak enemy so sometimes ancient ones buff them up or remove them to make random monster encounters harder to make up for their easier mechanics.

They're one of the few monsters which don't require a sanity check, they only require one success to beat them and they boost your combat check by 1 extra roll.

Yep Alice turns them into dolls and Yuuka turns them into plant tokens that debuff all investigators in the neighbourhood!

I was thinking about maybe playing some more danmaku on Saturday, let me know if you're interested!

I should be able to play this week.

Didn't get to play a whole lot today but hopefully we'll be able to play some Arkham tomorrow!

i tried looking for the room last week but I couldn't find it so I assumed this was a mean troll thread…

Sorry we probably should have posted that a few people didn't make it last week so we didn't make a room. We're going to try again tomorrow if you can make it.

Is this the "Swarm of Bees" table top game?

It's an optional challenge for Arkham Horror, you have to play the game while surrounded by bees. It's what all the hardcore players do

Maybe I'll make some investigators for the new 2hus as well!

I am unable to do it either. Steam is really stupid for making this a thing.

it looks like you need to spend 5$ in the store to be able to add friends… I don't remember it ever being like this before now

I think it's been like that for a while now. It is pretty stupid, I imagine they say it's to fight against bot accounts or something but it's probably also just to get someone to make an initial purchase so that they might save their payment info which makes it easier and therefore more likely for them to make future purchases.

On the bright side, adding friends isn't really necessary if you can arrange play sessions through other means, such as an imageboard, and if the game you're playing has in-game chat.

I cannot send a message but thank you for being my fren.

Yeah there reasoning for adding it was to make it harder for people to phish and scam people. Because people still fall for

How does TTS work? Can I somehow upload my own game if I have the pictures?

File: 1516642418395.jpg (4.72 MB, 5357x4730, exp_lunaticcards.jpg) [ IQDB | SauceNAO ]

You take some images on the internet, then you use the in game custom asset tools to make decks or whatever. Most mods just use sites like imgur or dropbox to host the images. Then when you're done, you upload the save file on to the workshop or just upload the save file somewhere.

For example, this image is what TTS uses for the Danmaku Lunatic deck.

oh is that why sometimes items dont load for mods? i was really confused why loading would fail sometimes but it mkes sense if they’re using public hostingg and it gets pruned

You looking to be a game designer henri?

Yes I'm making an idol themed board game.

You better not be lying. I want to play that

File: 1516686802158.png (1.33 MB, 1280x720, [FFF] Love Live! Sunshine!….png) [ IQDB | SauceNAO ]

It's for real.
Ideally it will have original girls but for the time being it will just be 6 Lovelives.
It is a simple roll a dice and move that number of spaces board game. The board is divided up into 4 regions (Names subject to change) Chiba (cute), Nagoya(dance), Saitama (vocal), and Tokyo (all). Each region has a venue that you would pass where you will hold a solo live by rolling dice equal to your stat and getting a success (roll 5 or 6 for now) and win that venues set amount of money, which get harder but worth more. There will also be face offs with all players if someone lands on the spaces for it. Bet fan cards for extra rolls.
Point of the game is to obtain X amount of fans and X amount of $$$ and exchange for a cd at the end of the board. Get 3 cds to win.
Fan cards are collected from either the board or cards. Money is collected from lives or cards. Either can be lost from ? spaces or items. Money can be used to access train stations if you want to bypass parts of the board.
The 6 (so far) characters have 3 stats in variation which can be increased slightly. That stat is the number of dice you roll at the particular venue (if you have a cute stat of 3, you roll 3 at Chiba's venue).
You will have a hand, and draw from the idol deck each turn. In addition there is the ? deck for people who land on ? spaces.

Sounds fun!
I've been using this for the 2hu old ones: http://cgjennings.ca/eons/
It's super easy to use basically anyone can make custom assets for Arkham with it.

> 6 Lovelives
You mean real Lovelives not the imitations you posted, right?

6 Mooses.
Honk Umi Maki Rin Nico Hanayo Kotori

Of course. Just have to make everything and save it. Nearly all the tools are there. Custom decks, dice, boards, tokens, and other things.

But that's seven not six

I have OJ but have never played it multiplayer. I did a bit of the story mode though. I also tried a free play and died on the very first move… Something tells me this is a game where things can go drastically wrong very quick…

Maki has the same cuteness as Honk? Blasphemy!

さすが真姫, the true princess

Yeah a 6 roll vs a 1 roll can turn the game around almost immediately.

It's nice to play a few rounds from time to time. Just don't take it super seriously or you'll have a bad time. There are characters that are clearly superior to others.

It's mostly luck based so you have to hope the dice don't screw you over but it's super fun when you're playing with frens!
We usually play around Fridays and sometimes on Sunday!

Apparently there's an actual Touhou RPG!
Here's a media fire link to the rulebook for anyone interested: http://www.mediafire.com/file/ti5wnh9xm7xh4t1/%5B%E6%9D%B1%E6%96%B9TRPG%5D+Danmaku+Yuugi+-flowers-.pdf

Also, we might start playing on TTS again starting this weekend!

I like all the flower names and references.

This seems really fun. Although it also seems quite complicated, but that might just be because I'm not experienced with TRPGs

Yeah it seems really complicated to me too but ive never done a dnd before so maybe that is even more complicated

Are we going to try to play this on saturday? If so I'll try to figure out my character to play

I've never played a TRPG before, it might be better to start off with something rules light like Maid RPG, to be honest!

That has 150 more pages than the flower rpg…

Even though it has more pages, it is mechanically simpler than Flowers because Maid RPG has less numbers and most of the details are made up as you play and the core mechanic is simply 1d6 * relevant attribute.

I've tried playing D&D a couple of times and it didn't really go to well. I just don't have the creative spirit and role play ability to get into tabletop RPGs.

Just got done at my first day at gencon! I got to demo lots of games which was really fun. I also got to play the physical version of heart of crown too! I don't think there will be anyone to play 100% orange juice with here though...

How was gencon, what type of stuff did you do and how many days were you there?

I've always wanted to go to a convention but I don't have anyone to go with.

So far it's been really fun, but theres still friday, saturday and maybe sunday! I might not go for long sunday, if at all though since the drive home will be pretty long.

I was originally planning on going alone but thankfully someone else wanted to come with me, but I think it still would have been really fun alone

Steam is having a board game sale this weekend. Maybe we can find something interesting to play.

100% OJ is a part of it if you still don't have it yet. Might be a little awkward to jump into currently with the co-op event going on.

File: 1533398335699.jpg (402.67 KB, 1920x1012, 68747470733a2f2f692e696d67….jpg) [ IQDB | SauceNAO ]

Scythe and Armello look interesting, Scythe has some cool artwork!
I've also played Gremlins Inc. before and it was pretty fun although I haven't played it in a while.

Tabletop Simulator is on sale too if anyone wants to get that!

I played a bit of Armello during a free weekend. It was pretty interesting, though it seemed like one victory condition was much easier to go for than all the others. Didn't pick it up because I didn't have any friends to play it with, and I hear public matches are usually terrible. Since some unlocks are tied to your online rank, people would queue up with their friends, team up against the other players, and try to ensure one of them won.

That was a year ago though, and maybe they've fixed all that.

From what I could gather it looks like they removed the option to queue up with friends, so I guess if you're playing in public matches you play against random people. But getting teamed up against by other players still seems to be an issue despite that, since you can just queue up at the same time as your friends and you'll probably end up in the same game.

Yeah I figure it would still be easy enough to join up with some friends. Not like the game has thousands of players.

Well if people are interested I could get it. I already own gremlins inc too. Looks like they added a new board since the last time I played.

Sure! I'm okay with giving it a try!

I got to play Root which is really fun and cute. Every player gets to be an animal in the forest and you fight to win control. I think it would be really fun to play together if somebody add a free mod to tabletop sim

They had tables out with scythe today but i didnt end up trying it since it looked really complicated.

There already appears to be a mod for Root on the steam workshop! It's amazing how many games are available on Tabletop Sim!

I've heard that Scythe was pretty hard and that the video game version doesn't really explain it very well either...

I decided to check out grimmwood last night, really interesting community focused game that plays out similar enough to a boardgame. Maybe someone else here might be interested so I figured I'd post about it.

cool! They already sould out of the physical copy both times I checked. The card art is really nice and probably my favorite part

The multiplayer aspect sounds interesting! It says that games take place over 24 hours though? Does that mean it's like one of those free browser mmos?

And now there's a bundle with some of the stuff from that sale

I might get this for Talisman since it looked interesting although it has a ton of DLC.

Yeah I was looking in to it during the last sale, since it was only $0.99. But then I saw the DLC tab.

Guess it's not much different than OJ in that regard though...

I bought the bundle!
Talisman, Mysterium and the super hero game are all pretty fun even in single player although Mysterium is probably a lot more fun if you're playing with real people!
I haven't tried Ticket to Ride yet and I've already player Armello before and think it's really good!
Maybe if some more /nen/frens pick up the bundle we could play some of the games together!

I picked it up as well

ii ne! Let me know if you want to play together sometime!

4 /nen/frens picked up the bundle so far! If anyone else decides to buy it let us know!
