Eugh I forgot to make a thread on the nen for the newhu
There is already a thread about 17.5 character trailer in the catalog
Do you want to bump it or just make a new one for the full game?
Or maybe just talk about the gameplay here once we get the Steam release?
12 hours into Ni no kuni 2, it's a really cute game. There is so much content in it and some areas look terrific. And I just got it as a bargaining chip in the big deal because it has a japanese title. I assume some of you played it but if you don't and you see it on the market, pick it up.
Glad you're enjoying yourself!
I've been thinking about trying to play minecraft again, can't seem to upgrade the server past 1.16.5 though. Would anyone mind a fresh start at 1.17.1 with the caves and cliffs update?
I put it on my backlog when it first got a PC release, but never got around to playing it. It still looks interesting and cute
though. I'm glad you're enjoying it.
Currently, I want to check out Darkest Dungeon II and the new(er) Switch releases.
I would like to play on the server again with nen, but would like to keep the world that we worked on last year. I know there's some type of vanilla-ish mod that allows you to have multiple worlds on one server that you access through a bedrock nether portal. It would start out on the new 1.17 update, but there would still be a way to visit the old world too, or play both at the same time. I'm not sure what it's called. That way no one has to go through the process of obtaining the late game tools again that make large projects less tedious.
I don't know if upgrading the server adds the new materials to the previously generated world. I remember back in the day it wouldn't unless you regenerated with the same seed, but a lot has changed. I can research it!
It would be sad to lose the nencastle, but such is life. Don't hold back on my account. It's unlikely I'll be able to commit much time to minecrafting until spring, and if you all want to have fun in a new world then you should go for it. I'm afraid I've explored a long distance in every direction in the current world, so you would pretty much have to go start a new base if you wanted to generate new areas with the caves and cliffs stuff in it.
notes, gunbare grinded a bunch of useful stuff that helps reduce some of the tedious aspects of the game, especially mining large quantities of materials. I dunno if anyone would ever be motivated enough to do all that again. The 2 worlds thing sounds like it would be a cool
solution if it works.
Thanks for replying, I'll try my best to get it to update.
I fixed it, didn't realize 1.17.1 requires java 16 and above, and bionic only has 17 now. The server has been upgraded to 1.17.1, successfully from what I can tell.
Yes, I got the disc version. This way I can always sell my games later if I want to, and I just prefer owning games physically.>>47430
Misao! I was just rewatching this recently.
What games have you been playing on it lately?
played a lot of Touhou today
one of the good games or a new game
I made my minecraft account shortly after watching it the first time (?) or maybe a second time. Either way, my account name is now forever a reference to a BPS antagonist.
Haven't really gamed much lately, but I played some Returnal and it's pretty fun. It's a bit like touhou, except you dodge bullets in 3rd person shooter view.
I also transferred my project diva x save data from my vita, so it was nice to finally play some of the project diva x exclusive songs on a big screen.
Wow that's exciting, glad you got to move your miku forward to a larger screen! I haven't played returnal yet, I messed up and didn't get it on sale a few weeks ago but it looks super fun.
It's okay if you're having fun with frens
Sigh hinako is beautiful.
i've been wanting to play 1st since new game released recently
maybe wait for steam sale since physical copy for my region is overpriced now
Tldr: I'm happy
I've been enjoying my ps4 I bought in september a lot so far. Never had a console but it's just the right generation with all the pc hardware around it, I already got an external drive and a databank for it. I don't understand why console people don't upgrade theirs and be fine with 500 gigabytes which is even less in the case of the primary drive, it's all just pc hardware, cheap, standard, ubiquitous, already had a laugh about it with a pc/console friend who also knows both sides.
I've been searching for exclusives and less known japanese games on ebay and found some interesting titles which I'm planning to get.
Ghost of Tsushima is also an excellent game, even if you are not really into the whole old japanese and samurai stuff, it's just a very well executed title that makes wonders of the weak hardware of the ps4 and even uses the little gimmicks of the controller like the speaker and the touch pad well, I would definitely recommend playing it. (I have already successfully convinced a friend to get it and he got hooked as well)
Cheap and fun hardware and interesting titles is what I signed up for and I got just that. I've been struggling to build a gaming pc this year but now I can just focus on finding games and other stuff which is a lot more fun than fighting the struggling market of gpus (I mean I paid the price of a GT1030 for the console, controllers and even some games, how cool is that)
I would get this if I didn't already buy it digitally.>>47792
I want to try it in VR.
I'm having some issues with the story mode content but I think that's because the save hasn't converted to normal mode yet. I heard the VR is very smooth but I sold mine a while ago. Deathsmile
s 1 and 2 is also apparently getting a port in a few days so I picked that up as well.
Decided I'm going to start living in Eorzea, I haven't started yet but I'm going to and that will be my life. Every day I'll wake up to a gentle Gridanian breeze, lightly scented by the great trees and fresh blossoms. Every night I'll take a quick walk through the lavender fields to relax before retiring to my apartment.
I can't see any other possible future other than this.
I think the base game and the first expansion are free aren't they, or do you still have to pay the subscription and it's not actually free.
I've been slowly playing through the free trial and its still free but im not very high level yet
I half expected to see that guy's face from the potion seller video.
Grats! Eevee is my favorite Pokemon
Gonna evolve it dude?
you know he's gonna' evolve it into a Vaporeon
Vapoorion. Jolteon is the cool
went with espeon actually>>48125
sugay, now do extra
i'm too much of a scrub, just gonna move on to th16
I started playing Endwalker but I think I want to play something cute instead.
Just went through and documented all (most) of my games today. I think I'm going to replay Kirby & the Amazing Mirror since I haven't played it for more than a decade.>>48210
It's still relatively cheap sealed. That's how I got my copy. I'm missing the fucking console.https://www.ebay.com/itm/324843125124
Good list fellow Canadian fren.
The reshrined name is really cute
I'm going to be honest. I don't like Bloodborne.
I got it like two months ago. I don't like the artstyle which is a personal preference but there is not much of a story either. There is no reason for me to continue this game since the beginning scenes don't give me a reason to do so. We don't know why our man goes into this city full of crazy residents, or anything.
The gameplay would be okay, were it not for the crazy bad throwables. I have no reason to throw a molotov cocktail since by the time I throw one, the recipient catches me just by running and I can't throw it further, let alone the molotov cocktail have decent stats to make it worth throwing. Fire damage is negligible at best, yet annoying if you walk into a stationary fire.
The last straw was me running into overleveled werewolves and then watching a youtube video where the guy smashed boxes (WHICH THE GAME DISCOURAGES YOU TO DO SINCE THERE IS NOTHING IN THEM USUALLY AND THEY LEAD TO NOWHERE) and one of the box smashing places has the route to continue without running into overleveled wolves. We call this bad game design. That's what it is. Fuck this game and fuck fromsoftware.
There is no reason to continue this game unless you like the artstyle and soulslikes because the writing is dogshit too. Fuck this game.
If you want to get a more technical combat system, get Nioh.
If you want better writing and a more streamlined combat experience, get Ghost of Tsushima.
I think Bloodborne gets carried by its artstyle like 95%, and if you don't like that artstyle, there is nothing in it for you.
I wanted to play Sekiro but now I don't because I'm convinced fromsoftware is a one trick pony.
I had trouble getting into it at first as well. I've had the game for 2 or so years now, and tried a few times to get into it. The very start isn't fun. What I liked the most is the exploration, especially in the early parts of the game. I haven't gotten lost like that in quite a while.
I think the gameplay is good. Throwables have never been all that great in From's soulsborne games. They might be worse in Bloodborne, but I didn't mind. They're good for getting a little bit of damage on closely grouped enemies.
I don't really know about these overleveled wolves. I never had much of an issue with any of the beast enemies early on. The game doesn't discourage breaking random boxes. You usually don't get anything from it, but it's not new for shortcuts and small areas to be hidden by them.
As for the writing, I'll give you that. They really don't tell you what the fuck you're doing, and that might be an issue for some people that need a reason. I don't think it's bad writing though. Most of the game, you're just running into the unknown. The game would suck if they told you what was ahead or what your goal should be for the moment.
It isn't for everyone though, and that's fine. I probably wouldn't have bothered if I didn't like the classical horror style they went for.
Wish it came out on PC...
